TROLLSKULL SYNDICATE

King Milgrod's armies were scattered and defeated, the city of Relagwall was awash with relief and people were taking to the streets to celebrate. The group went to town to celebrate and found a welcoming city that regarded them as heroes. The group celebrated along with the people in the city.

By the evening something appeared to be bothering Fleshripper. The black bear did not appear to be feeling well and it suddenly occurred to Leomarvis that perhaps having him eat a vampire was not as good an idea as it had first seemed. Leomarvis, Norbert, and Morthos set out to find a healer. They found an apothecary named Renswand that was happy to try and help him them. He thought the idea of eating a vampire was strange but looked it up in his tome of the undead. There he found a strange entry. It appeared that some people had indeed at a time believed that eating vampire flesh could make them immortal. There were in fact very wrong.

Vampires have a regenerative quality and so when the flesh of a vampire is consumed the regenerative quality causes some sort of amalgamation with the person that ate the vampire flesh. I about a weeks time the person is filled with bloodlust just like a vampire, with some reports of them actually developing vampiric fangs. However the person loses all sensibilities and becomes mindless like a zombie. People that had eaten vampiric flesh would become known as zombie vampires. Fortunately somebody had figured out a cure, it was a pretty simple recipe and as long as it was given within five days the cure seemed to be 100% successful.

Renswand had all of the ingredients that were needed to make the cure except one, blood flower. The blood flower is fortunately not extremely rare, they grow at higher elevations in the mountains. Renswand had used all of his supply in the past couple weeks as it also helps people recover from the bites of lesser vampires. There had been several vampire thrall attacks since King Milgrod's army set siege to the city.

The three adventurers decided to go get the flower so the Renswand could make the cure. They set off into the mountains to look for the flower. They pushed as hard as they could knowing that time was of the essence and they would have to go up the mountain and back down with enough time for Renswand to make the cure.

On the second day the group heard some people talking on a ridge above them. They went to scout out what it was. They found three soldiers that had deserted Milgrod's army. Rather than look for a fight the group approached the three men. They found out that the men were brothers named Gren, Sven, and Ben. They had left the army because Milgrod had started turning the soldiers into vampires and they no longer believed their king was of sound mind. They were relieved to learn that Milgrod was dead. As it turned out Sven was an herbalist and he had a supply of Blood flower that he had brought with him just in case he or his brothers needed it.

They travelled back down the mountain with the group. Renswand was able to make the cure and Fleshripper was soon looking better. At the inn the group hosted Gren and his brothers and they got talking about Leomarvis's bow. They had seen the gems in the bow at the castle in Millhaven. The group decided to go to Millhaven and try to get the gems that would increase the power of Leomarvis's bow.

In the morning Fleshripper appeared to be bigger than he had been the day before. They went to talk to Renswand about this. Renswand told them that the cure was meant for humanoids and that the strange growth could be a side effect of the cure. Renswands did a complete examination and found Fleshripper to be in good health. Fleshripper was now larger than any brown bear Leomarvis had ever seen. They had to get Fleshripper's armour adjusted as it no longer fit. Leomarvis bought a wagon and horses and the group set out on the road accompanied by Gren, Ben, and Sven.
