The Sleeping Mimics

Rayla slammed the door separating her and Norbet from the massive mimic. Addelin hearing the commotion came down the hall to see what was happening and Rayl a quickly explained. The trio had never seen a mimic so large and felt they could not deal with the creature without the help of the rest of the group. Rayla and Norbert went to find the rest of the group while Addelin stayed back to keep watch.

Meanwhile Leomarvis had returned to the small house where he had fought the mimic earlier. He started searching and the house feeling there had to be something more here. He went into the small bedroom and after investigating he found a trap door in the floor. He opened the door and saw that there was a cramped space below. Not daring to investigate further on his own he closed the door and headed back to Trollskull manor to tell the group about his discovery.

The mimic was trying to break the door down so Addelin moved away from it. Rayla and Norbert did not have to go far to find Bob, Argus, and Morthos returning from Chace's party. She quickly explained about the mimic and they ran back to the house. As the group ran up stairs to fight the mimic something about the door caught Bob's attention and he lagged behind. The rest of the group started fighting the mimic while Bob looked at the door. Bob was caught unaware by the mimic that was disguised as a table. Bob soon found himself in a struggle for his life, while upstairs the rest of the group battle against the mimic that had eaten Caelyn.

Leomarvis returned and saw that the mimic was trying to swallow Bob. Leomarvis engaged but it looked like it might be too late for Bob. The group finally killed the mimic upstairs and then heard the sound of fighting below. Tired and injured the rushed to help Bob. Bob appeared to be lifeless as they fought against the mimic. Norbert was badly injured but bravely fought on. Soon the mimic was defeated and Addelin quickly revived Bob saving him dying. It had been a tough battle and now all they wanted was rest. A quick search of Trollskull Manor should that there were no more mimics and that they could now rest easy. Tomorrow they would get to the bottom of this mimic infestation.
