The Missing Friend of Elden Trigg

The people in the town of Norshire were in a celebratory mood when the group returned with the missing children. The group had a little time to celebrate before Jomera said that she wanted to get moving. She believed that Terric might have somehow been targeted and she did not want to waste any time in getting to the city of Nightstone. The journey over the next few days went by without further complications, and Jomera seemed relieved to have fulfilled her duty of getting Terric to Nightstone.

Now in Nightstone the group decided to do some shopping and take some time to relax. The first store they came across was called the Zobolob Shop and the gnome shop owner was a strange but happy man. He tried to sell the group a great number of curious but seemingly overpriced items. Bob ended up by a cloak that flutters in the breeze every time that he takes a heroic pose. The cloak looks extremely awesome and heroic. After that the group stopped at the Purple Pegasus for a drink when a fight broke out. A large half-orc woman was in a fight with several men, and Leomarvis decided to help the out numbered woman out. The fight ended quickly, and the group of men fled.

At the Purple Pegasus the group was approached by a man named Elden Trigg who wanted to hire the group to find his friend Roland Floon. Elden told the group he was a very wealthy man and would pay them a very handsome sum for the return of his friend. The group agreed to the job for the sum of 500gp each.

They then set out to the Skewered Dragon tavern the last place that Elden had seen Roland. Close to the skewered dragon the group passed by a crime scene where five men had been killed in a fight in the alley. The captain of the guard Evageline Korlin did not accept any help from the group or answer any questions about what had happened. The group then continued on to the Skewered Dragon only to find an extremely unhelpful bartender who claimed to have never seen anything ever. Fortunately, a charm spell was able to get him to open up about the missing Roland. It seemed that Roland had met another friend and when they left, they had been followed by a group of five men.

That there were five dead men in an alley seemed like it could not be a coincidence. The guards were leaving so the group looked around. The were few clues but Leomarvis did find a black feather but was not sure what that meant. The group was getting ready to go back to the Purple Pegasus to get a night’s sleep and have fresh eyes in the morning.
