The Mimic Queen

Leomarvis was slowly dying as the vampire continued his ferocious attacks. Rayla stepped back from the edge of the roof and blasted the vampire with a fire bolt setting its clothes on fire. Bob, with his flaming sword in hand, swung at the approaching zombie but tripped on the zombie he had already killed and fell to the ground. Morthos strummed his lute cast his dissonant whispers spell blasting the vampire with a psychic power that taunted him about his weakness. The vampire screamed and clawed at Morthos. Morthos laughed and used his tiefling hellish rebuke power to strike back at the vampire.

Addelin smashed the skeletal warrior with her mace but the creature seemed unstoppable. Argus hit the skeletal warrior with his greatsword and the creature clattered to the ground destroyed. Norbert called forth his magic missiles and the vampire screamed as the force bolts slammed into him. A group of zombies swarmed Eva the captain of the guard and it appeared that she might die, but Argus stepped into the swarm and started cleaving them with his powerful greatsword. Addelin smashed another with her mace and Eva managed to break free from the others and get back to her feet.

The vampire flew up into the air, Norbert tried to hit him with his staff. The vampire dodged the blow from the staff but flew right into morthos who swatted with his rapier but lost his footing. The rapier slashed the vampires belt causing his pants to fall down and the bag at his side dropped at Norbert's feet. The vampire turned into a bat and flew away chased by Ravonna. With the vampire dead the rest of the zombies seemed weakened and the group and the soldiers were able to kill the rest.

Eva invited the group to the inn for a drink and to celebrate their victory. They had stopped an evil plot that threatened the city. Chace asked Addelin to dance with him at the festival the next day, and invited the whole group to sit with him amongst the nobles. The next day the group went shopping for appropriate clothes and found that the people of the city had started calling them the Troll Skull Syndicate.

At the harvest festival King Nightstone recognized the group as heros of the city and gave them all medals in recognition of what they had done. The medals were placed on them by Princess Sameria. Afterwards there was a dance, Chace asked Addelin to dance with him, while Eva asked Argus to dance with her. Norbert mustered up the courage to ask the princess to dance, and she agreed.

Grumble Thorn, the owner of the Norshire inn saw Bob and told him that a group of vampires had come to the village and stolen his wall. It was the same wall that Bob had been enamoured with and this did not sit well with him. Then Morthos noticed Lord Miligrod standing by King Nightstone at the head table. King Nightstone stood up and started a speech, his voice being carried by magic so it could be heard by the entire town. Leomarvis who was watching noticed that Lady Faneara was whispering words and then the King was repeating them. Leomarvis urged Ravonna to fly into Lady Faneara, and when she exclaimed stupid bird, so did the king. Something sinister was going on.

Suddenly screams erupted as the massive white gazebo in the town square came to life. It was the Mimic Queen! The group and soldiers rushed to fight the evil, hideous beast.
