After slaying a green dragon, the Trollskull Syndicate collects as much treasure as they can carry and navigates the dense jungle paths. They arrive at a halfling village celebrating the dragon's death, where they are hailed as heroes. However, Norbert is suspicious and, with Blueterion, investigates the village. They find a temple to a nature god who speaks to them about the Bloodstone and offers to create a magical doorway to his hideout—a temple.

The group agrees and travels through the magical path to the temple, entering an old labyrinth that the Bloodstone calls home. Honkess steps on a magical trap but escapes unscathed. As they move cautiously through the tunnels, they encounter a statue. Despite the group's protests, Honkess touches another trap and is transformed into a water elemental, attacking the group. They manage to subdue her, and Norbert saves her from death.

Continuing down the hall, they find two rooms. The first contains several sarcophagi and another trap, which they avoid. The second room has a statue of an evil wizard, which Morthos destroys with his Bigby's Hand spell, revealing some keys. The group speculates the sarcophagi might be related to the keys and returns to the first room, trying to find a way around the trap. Despite warnings, Honkess touches the trap and is disintegrated into dust. The group collects her remains and finds nothing of value in the room.

Backtracking, they come across old jail cells, one of which contains a dying ogre woman named Miri, who has been shot with arrows. Using magic, they restore some of her health, and she offers to help them navigate the tunnels. Honkess's death has shaken the group, but they press on with renewed determination. Miri's offer of help may be crucial in navigating the labyrinth and confronting the Bloodstone.
