The Capture of Razemfire

The flaming spere burned by the hallway entrance, the heat emanating through the room. Shadow dashed past the flaming ball and charged into the next room. He ran up to the cultist that had fled and tried to hit him with his staff but missed. He managed to hit him with a backhand strike but the cultist still fought. Aust still in bear form looked to Blueterion and then to his back, Bleuterion understood what he intended and she climbed onto his back. Aust then charged into the next room with a deep snarl as Blueterion set resolve with a look of solid steel. Aust bit and clawed at the first hobgoblin while Blueterion unleashed a her lightning breath.

Shadow managed to knock out the cultist. Quack! doing his best to bring Razemfire back alive aid fired an arrow that hit Razemfire in the left knee incapacitating him. Razemfire unleashed a burst of flames from his hands that singed Aust and Blueterion, and knocked Shadow unconscious. The hobgoblins fell to the relentless attacks of Aust and Blueterion, while Quack! determined to stop Razemfire shot another arrow into his knee, this time the right one. Aust shifted back to his normal form and used his magic to spare Shadow from death and the group looted the room.

Needing rest the group decided to camp out in the dining room where they initially encountered the cultists. Razemfire and his follower were bound and secured. In the morning there was disagreement about what to do, Aust wanted to head back to town since they had completed their mission, but the rest of the group wanted to explore and find more treasure. Aust felt that this was a mistake. The walked through the underground rooms and then entered a room with several goblins. The goblins upon seeing the group threw javelins at them. Aust shifted to bear form and charged in, as did Blueterion.

The goblin boss ordered an attack and the five underlings attacked Aust striking him and forcing him out of his bear form. Quack! rushed into the rom and tried to fire an arrow at the boss but the boss shoved an underling in the way and the arrow hit that poor creature. Shadow felt the whole thing was a misunderstanding and did not engage. The tide of battle started to turn when Aust shifted into bear form and clawed and gnashed at goblins while Blueterion launched fierce attacks. The goblin boss hit Quack! with a javelin and he collapsed to the ground. The goblin boss then fled the room and Aust gave chase. The goblin passed into a large chamber and as Aust was running he turned to see a giant ettin. Quack! was dying and now an ettin had noticed Aust and the fight with the goblins, it was not looking good for the group.
