The group left the village of Flinndale heading north towards where they believed King Krull and his army would be. They met up with Argus's new friend and Argus gave the massive hellhound/wolf hybrid the name Hellstorm. Hellstorm was happy to have a friend again it had been many years since he had travelled with a friend. The group camped for the night having not found any sign of the army after the first day. In the morning Bob found signs that somebody had been near their camp, and had been watching the group. They managed to hide their tracks very well but Bob was able to follow to find and follow them.

Later in the day the group met up with a half-orc named Mazoga. She was the niece of King Xorag, and she was tracking the army of King Krull. Faneara had offered Xorag the same deal she had offered Krull, that if he swore fealty to Faneara she would give him immortality by making him a vampire. Unlike King Krull, King Xorag refused her offer. Xorag had sent Mazoga out because he is afraid of the northlands falling under Fanera's control. The group told Mazoga that they were going to confront Krul and his dragon and she agreed to join them.

The group came upon a small camp of soldiers, clearly scouts of King Krull's army. Bob and Leomarvis used their bows while Mazoga used her magic to attack them from a distance. When Bob and Leomarvis went to investigate the camp they found a strange orb hovering in the trees and determined that the orb was a scrying orb. Somebody was watching them.

later in the day they got their answer of who was watching them, King Krull and his Dragon Xolradas flew in to attack. The initial attacks were extremely fortunate for the group. Morthos confusion spell hit the dragon and the beast did not know what to do. This left Krull open to attacks and the group's concentrated effort quickly dispatched the vampire king.

Then Xolradas broke the spell and turned to attack the group. Suddenly the beast seemed enormous, and more dangerous.
