Invisible Barbarian
Season 2, Episode 12-13
TROLLSKULL SYNDICATE

Miri’s guidance was proving to be invaluable. Her clan had lived in the lower levels of the temple for many generations and were knowledgeable about the routes through the old labyrinth. Miri explained how in the past few years the temple had become more dangerous, and much of this was due to the Bloodstone. The man had moved into levels below Miri’s village, an area that the ogres though of as too dangerous. The Bloodstone had also brought about the return of the Fire Giants. The temple had once been the home of a large fire giant clan, at the heart of the underground complex was a sea of lava. The arrival of the great dragon had caused the fire giants to retreat to the lower levels but with the Bloodstone’s arrival the giants started to resurface into the upper levels. Now that the group had killed the dragon the giants might fully return to their home.
This would be disastrous for Miri’s people, and she had gone out to either find help or a new place for her people to live. There had been more giants than she expected, and the hobgoblins were a complete surprise. They managed to capture her and put her in the cell the group had found her in. It was the hobgoblins that had shot her with arrows after her capture, Miri would have a score to settle. For now, she needed the group’s help.
Miri gave the group two choices, the path she had taken which was dangerous or a longer route that might be less travelled but that was uncertain. So much had changed lately. The group chose the alternate path. They were tired and injured and getting to the village in the easiest way possible seemed like the best choice.
Miri was proving to be an asset, her ability to discover traps had prevented the group from being caught a couple of times. Unfortunately, Norbert was not paying attention and set off a trap that shot him with an arrow that petrified him. Morthos used his greater restoration spell to cure Norbert. Meanwhile Miri used a stone shape spell to remover the trap including several arrows enchanted with the petrifying magic.
The group then entered a room with a small horde of treasure. Just as the group was discovering the treasure two fire giants were entering the room. A fight broke out but the group had the element of surprise and through a targeted attack quickly defeated one of the giants. The other fled the room and slammed the door closed while calling out to other giants. The group hid among the furniture and crates in the room. Blueterion decided it was time to drink some potions. Frist she drank the potion of cloud giant strength, and then a potion of greater invisibility. Norbert cast haste on the barbarian increasing her attacks.
Three giants entered the room. Suddenly one howled as Miri once again used stone shape to create a five-foot spike in the floor snagging a giant’s leg. Then an invisible Blueterion struck. The giants could not see her and swung wildly trying to hit the invisible demon that was hurting them. The group could not see Blueterion, but they could see the damage she was causing. Fear and panic broke out among the giants as Blueterion continued her assault. There was nothing the fire giants could do, when they tried to escape Blueterion was there. When they tried to hit the invisible demon, she was not. The fight ended much quicker than the group had anticipated, the invisible super-strength, and hastened Blueterion was unstoppable. With the giants defeated the group went in search of treasure. They found a secret room and an ancient treasure awaited. After collecting their treasure, the group started towards Miri’s village.
