TROLLSKULL SYNDICATE

The Trollskull syndicate found themselves far from home, and far from the manor from which they got their name. They had managed to collect some information about Stranax and a possible last location for him. Stranax's husband Ngarius could still be alive as the elf ranger would likely have long outlived Stranax. The group was contacted by Kimeren Battlearm the king's adviser. Kimeren gave the group some potions and asked them to help any dwarves they might find. Several that had been travelling through the mountains have not returned home and with the bad weather they worry that some could be trapped somewhere in the mountains. The king was also worried about the oni in the city of Amago siding with Faneara and attacking Irongate. Irongate and Amago were once enemies, but a new oni king set the city on a new path. The new king declared that he wished for peace and started trade with Irongate. Though there has been peace and the oni appear to have given up on being evil King Galgred of the dwarves worries they may return to their old and evil ways.

The group set off through the mountains and a couple days into what would be weeks long journey to the city of Amago. On their way they were being followed and taunted by some invisible creature. Eventually the caught sign of tracks and realized that the creature taunting them was an oni. The oni taunted them and for a while the group tried to follow the oni. The oni seemed to be trying to lead the group somewhere and finally the group became worried that the oni was trying to lead them into a trap. They stopped following the oni and kept moving towards Amago.

From time to time the oni would return and try to taunt the group into following again. Then the weather took a turn for the worse and the group took refuge in a cave. once in the cave the group realized there was a deep tunnel. Leomarvis sent his bear Flesh Ripper deeper into the cave to explore. He used a spell that allowed him to see through Flesh Ripper's eyes. Flesh Ripper eventually found a massive cave and inside the cave was a huge mound of gold. Leomarvis told the group about the treasure but the rest of the group felt it was a trap. Through his beast bond Leomarvis had Flesh Ripper push a stone into the cave, the stone bounced and clattered awaking a dragon. Had this been the trap that the oni was luring the group to? If so it did not make sense since the group had gave up following the oni. The dragon let out a loud groan and it appeared Flesh Ripper was about to be eaten by the massive dragon.
