Caelithar is a high fantasy realm shaped by elemental forces, set against the backdrop of a Roman-inspired steampunk world. Towering aqueducts hum with arcane energy, brass gears grind in harmony with sacred rituals, and magic flows not from bloodlines or words, but from ancient elemental stones — relics of the gods themselves. These stones fuel everything from spellcraft to machinery, binding the mystical and mechanical into one.
In the twilight of a shattered age, Caelithar stands on the edge of rebirth. The gods, once united in balance, were fractured by a cataclysm that sundered the harmony of the elements. The slain god of souls fueled the Cataclysm, leaving mortals adrift in spiritual uncertainty. From the ruptured earth rises the ancient Kiaju, awakened only when the balance tips too far.
A new god of souls, a daughter of the Supreme now guides the passage of spirits — a new soulbearer in an unsteady world. From the broken remains of the world before, mighty nations and fledgling city-states now rise amid ruins, bound by tradition, ambition, and the fading memory of divine order. The eight elemental gods still stir through their chosen domains: flame and tide, storm and soil, frost and flora, shadow and light. Above them all, silent and sovereign, is the Supreme Thalorion embodying the full circle of the elements — their presence both omnipresent and veiled. Caelithar is a world of trials, where none may pass untested — a land where gods have walked, and echoes of their footsteps still shape the fate of all.
