Bob

Hunter Ranger

Bob is a mysterious character with little known about his past. He is always wearing his mask so even what he looks like is unknown. The Red Hand Cabal has something to do with Bob's past but Bob has never said what that is. What is known is that one of the members of the cabal had stolen Bob's eye and when Bob ran into this person they fought and Bob took his eye back. The Red Hand Cabal has done something that has led to them evoking Bob's ire but Bob has not told anybody what that is.

Bob was the first to identify that there was something odd about the wall at the inn in Norshire but he could not have known what it was at that time. It turned out that the inn had been built by former heroes and within that wall was the Elemental Stone of Fire, a magical gem that could summon and control the Ashen Manticore. It was Bob that struck the final blow against the evil vampire queen Faneara. Bob took the Elemental Stone when he left Nightstone, he said that he intended to ensure that the stone would never be used again.

Throughout his time with the Trollskull syndicate Bob went from a person always looking out for himself to a person looking out for his friends. Perhaps it was the time that the group saved him from being eaten by a mimic, or how his friends stood by his side during his fight with the Red Hand Cabal; the group earned his trust.

During the past year Bob started his own alchemical business in Irongate. It started as a small shop making alchemist fire but he met some gnomes that showed him a more explosive alchemical recipe. They used their concoction for a rather slow and sometime malfunction crossbow like device but Bob immediately saw the real potential. Bob worked with a few of his employees to adjust the ingredients and create something more practical.

Bob saw potential for this new explosive to be effective in the mines of Iron gate. Using small amounts of the chemical compound, with a very specific metal and magical composition allows for a very precise explosion that can cut through rock very effectively. Bob's mining supplies has become a successful business. Bob is most proud of his commitment to his employees. Alchemy can be a dangerous job, so Bob pays his employees a good wage and covers all medical costs.

Bob spent most of his wealth on an airship. He also learned that it is much harder to fly an airship than he thought. While he enjoyed flying his airship, it was short lived as he crashed it on his first flight. He has commissioned the building of another ship, and this time he might take the advice of the builders and hire a trained pilot.
