Argus, Path of the Totem Barbarian
With Hellstorm
Argus comes from the Steel Bear barbarian tribe of the North Sky Mountain range. The Steel Bear tribe are fierce warriors but are known for accepting outsiders into their tribes. The Steel Bear tribe adhere to a code known as the Ethos of Steel. As steel is made from more than one element and this gives it strength, a tribe built of many peoples makes the tribe stronger. The Ethos of Steel is also an expression of acceptance, a sword comes in many different sizes and shapes but all have purpose. The Ethos of Steel is a code of personal strength and improvement, a blade that dulls can be sharpened, a blade that breaks is a chance to be reforged.
Argus loved his tribe, and his life in the mountains, but he always wondered about the wider world. Argus always had an affinity for animals and in his dreams he envisioned a giant wolf born of fire. The wolf was hunted by people of the world, and Argus believed his destiny was tied to finding the wolf in his dreams. Armed with the Ethos of Steel Argus chose to leave the North Sky Mountains, and search for the wolf of his dreams. The world away from the mountains was a strange place, and Argus's search for the great wolf was not easy. He heard rumours and stories but every time these stories led to a dead end. Argus would take on odd jobs as he traveled around the north lands. He met the other members of the Trollskull Syndicate when he took an escort job for Jomera Honourhelm.
As a member of the Trollskull Syndicate Argus helped save the city of Nightstone from a mimic infestation when he charged inside the giant creature and used his greatsword to stab the creature in the heart. He was badly injured by the mimics acid and still bears a few scars caused by the mimics acid. It was also Argus that saw through the illusion placed on the imprisoned Shimmerall the Silver Dragon and he befriended her. Argus would eventually find the great beast in his dreams and befriend the Giant Fire Wolf which he named Hellstorm. After the defeat of the evil vampire queen Faneara Argus left Nightstone determined to find a place where Hellstorm could live without fear of being hunted.
