The group went to the second floor of the warehouse to investigate the noises and found Roland, and his friend Chace Renaer, the son of Lord Renaer. Roland and Chace were grateful for their rescue. Chace was intrigued by Bob's cape and offered Bob a trade. Chace said he had a magic sword that could become wreathed in flames on command. Bob was intrigued and agreed to looking at the sword before committing to any deal. Renaer invited the group to a party he was going to host the following evening.

The group escorted Roland back to Elden Trigg's home only to find out that Elden was a little short of gold. He offered the group the deed to Trollskull Manor an old tavern that had been unused for quite some time. The group went to check out the manor. It was a large place with plenty of room for the group and they had the opportunity to fix the place up and get it running again. They decided to accept the offer of the manor instead of the gold. The group then took a well deserved rest.

While many group members laid claim to the larger rooms on the third floor Rayla decided that she would claim a smaller room on the second floor, well several smaller rooms. She started removing some walls to give herself more space.

Leomarvis, Norbert, and Argus decided to see if they could find any work on a bulletin board. On the town board there were quite a few missing person posters, some having rewards attached to them. They grabbed a couple and then went to investigate where the people had gone missing. While they were doing this Morthos and Bob were taking a stroll through the city and doing a bit of shopping.

Argus and his two companions investigated the area around were two of the people had gone missing. It was not far from the Skewered Dragon but there was nothing to tie the missing people and the tavern together. The trio found some signs of struggle outside a home and decided to knock on the door and ask some questions. When nobody answered they group decided to enter the unlocked home. They called out but nobody answered. Leomarvis went to investigate the kitchen while Argus and Norbert investigated the other parts of the house.

Norbert saw a chest that he thought might hold something interesting and was immediately attacked by a mimic. The mimic chomped on Norbert grievously wounding him. Argus rushed to help and cut the pseudopod that had grabbed Norbert in half. Norbert tried to back away but was struck again and his world went black as he fell unconscious. Argus and Leomarvis continued to fight the mimic and managed to defeat it. They thought that Norbert was dead but thankfully he was still alive.

The group met back at their home. Addelin and Caelynn had stayed back and decided that they would stay in and rest for the evening. Morthos, Bob, Argus, and Leomarvis decided to head to Chace's party, while Norbert chose to stay back and help Rayla clean up the mess she had made demolishing walls.

Bob was impressed by the sword that Chace offered him in exchange for the cloak and agreed to the deal. Chace was disappointed that Addelin had not accompanied the group. When the group asked Chace about the mimics they had been finding Chace decided to hire the group to hunt the mimics down. Offering a hefty bounty for each mimic found. Chace also asked that the next time they come they bring Addelin as well. The group left the party with a new job. Leomarvis wanted to go look at the mimic they had found at the home near where people had gone missing while the other three went home.

Rayla and Norbert had been at cleaning all night. The mess was huge and it was beginning to seem like the best idea would be to hire some people to do the work for them. The group was thinking about opening the tavern again and it was more work than any of them would want to do. Rayla and Norbert then heard a strange slurping noise and what sounded like muffled screams. They went down the hall to investigate, and there in the room was a large mimic that had been disguised as a bed. The muffled screams were coming from Caelynn, though only her feet were visible at this point.
